Katia Forbert Petersen

The Polish filmmaker Katia Forbert Petersen is a graduate cinematographer from the Polish Film School. She has worked as a cinematographer for ZDF (German TV) and the Canadian Film Board. Since 1969, she lives in Denmark and has shot and co-directed some 150 films. Her camerawork has been honoured several times (Recipient of Dansk Filmfotograf Forbunds Annual Award 1992; Special Prize for Best Photography at the ITVA-festivals in Copenhagen in 1997 and 1999). For “Sound on Life” she won the Danish Film Academy Award “Robert” for co-direction of Best Short Documentary in 2007.

Iben Haahr Andersen

Born in 1953 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Iben Haahr Andersen graduated in Sound Design at The Danish Film School in 1982 and, since then has worked on about 200 short films and documentaries as well as on 10 feature films as sound designer (“The Element of Crime”, Lars von Trier). She also composes and designs music for theatre performances and multi media shows. “Sound on Life” (awarded the “Robert” for best Danish short documentary 2007) is her third work as co-director with Katia Forbert Petersen.
