Hans Keller
Hans Keller (1937, Haarlem) is a Dutch journalist, television critic, documentary maker, director and scriptwriter.
From 1962 till 1968 Keller worked for Dutch public broadcaster AVRO, directing a.o. programmes on literature and documentaries on art. From 1968 till 1978 he collaborated with VPRO, making significant programmes on history, art and artists, and magnificent travel reports.
Later he became an independent film maker working for different companies and broadcasters like VPRO, NOS and IKON. He made documentaries on Dutch authors like Gerard van het Reve, Multatuli and Remco Campert. Up till today he is making a VPRO tv programme called the ‘Dead Poets Almanac’, in we see poets – who are often dead by now – read their poems.
